First Things First:

Need help ordering your time, talents, and treasures?

Need a plan to move from over-extended to under control?

Need a decision framework to help you navigate life decisions?

We are here for you.

Twenty years ago David and Shawna started their lives as a newly married couple navigating the corporate world in New York City, and quickly came to a crossroads when expecting their first child. Financial constraints ensued, disappointments rose, and expectations failed.

Their constant dialogue revolved around: What do we do now?

There was not a magic manual to tell them the way forward, and the health of their marriage, future, and mental health was at stake.

With an immense amount of prayer, wise counsel, and deep reflection in God's Word, God led them to a place where they discovered the courage to let go of a life in pursuit of worldly gain, so that they could hold tightly to a life of faithfulness in light of eternity.

First Things First was a ministry lived in the trenches of faith before the message ever came to be on the following pages. While their journey continues, they hope the tools that have served them well over the years provide a practical guide for you as you seek to navigate this one life well.

How do you know which direction is best?

How can unnecessary conflict be avoided along the way?

What is the end goal?

We are so glad you asked.
